Guidelines to the Ladies' Work
Ladies' Meeting
The Lord has shown that the central motive of the meeting is prayer. It is the time when we can bring our requests before the Lord. And the Lord has given us some revealed reasons and a special moment, which is the "five minutes of silent prayer."
The Lord showed that there would be a message in the meeting. It's not study, it's not talk, but it's a little word revealed by the Lord. And these messages are sought at the meeting on the first or fifth Wednesday of the month.
The meetings will be uniform throughout the Work, always at the time of the service, at 7:30 p.m. Before the meeting, there was total silence inside the temple.
The meeting, in total, should not exceed 30, 35 minutes.
Meetings will be on Wednesdays.
In a work that is just beginning, where there are only two weeks, it is a revelation from the Lord that they meet together weekly, like a normal meeting of ladies. In this case, one will prepare for the giving of the Word, and the other for preparation and praise. The following week there will be a relay. They'll only have Bi-weekly meetings when there are enough to do so.
The coordinating group should seek gifts for the meetings, aiming at the needs of the ladies in general.
The gifts that the ladies have during the meeting will be written down and passed on to the group of ladies in charge of the meetings, who will consult the Lord and give them at the appropriate time.
The main purpose of the meeting is intercession.
Clear prayers, with the heart and with gratitude. The ladies who coordinate the work should be attentive and pray whenever there is a delay or a void between one prayer and another.
The prayers of the meeting should be directed to our (ladies') needs, remembering that other motives are taken to pray at home, in the early hours, in the noon services.
It is a revelation from the Lord that the ladies invite friends and neighbors to the meeting (see Weekly Meeting Evangelism Work).
Any instrumentalist, who is used in church services, can be used in meetings, whether male or young, with the approval of the Pastor.
In places where it is necessary for security reasons, a man or worker may be present, and he may assist to the meeting.
Ladies who do not work outside the home and do not attend the ladies' meetings cannot be teachers of children, intermediaries, adolescents and young people.
Older single sisters will be able to opt for the Ladies' Work, where they will have the opportunity to participate in the work in any function, or by Youth Work, where they will have the same participation.
After the meeting, when there is no fortnightly meeting, visit sisters who are sick, needy, and others (schedule the visit in advance).
After the meeting and after the evening service, give attention to the sisters, especially those who are in spiritual, material, and rapport, for a word of encouragement and assistance.
The teachers of the children's and adolescents' classes are invited to participate, together with the ladies, in the Wednesday services.
