Guidelines to the Ladies' Work
The Ornamentation of the Church
The ornamentation of the Church is a worship of the Lord.
The flowers that are used to decorate the pulpits will be replaced by ornamental flowering plants (in vases), according to the list available on our Information Portal (https://portal.presbiterio.org.br), in the Secretariat's folder, Ladies.
All baptized sisters, in communion with the Lord, can participate in the laying of flowers, even if they do not attend the ladies' meetings.
There will be a lady in charge of making the annual stopover of placing flowers and remembering the others. It doesn't have to be a front lady. Give preference to other sisters so that they can all work.
The Pastor will define, together with the sisters, those responsible for the care of the plants.
Priority on the flower placement scale will be given to sisters who are celebrating their birthdays. On dates when there is no birthday boy, the scale will be filled normally.
The use of plants, pots, angles, etc., is at the discretion of each church. The revelation of the Lord, in regard to the work of the ladies, concerns only the pulpit arrangements.
Observation:
There are lilies and tulips that have very high stems, so we need to have a good census when buying them. If the stem is too high, it is better to choose another flower.
No other vase should be used at the bottom of the pulpit.
Vases with Flowers
The ornamentation of the flower pots will be done by the sisters themselves. It cannot be done by young people or men, not even in a flower shop, because the Lord has revealed that the lady, when preparing the vase with flowers, will be receiving a blessing
All members of the church, who wish, may contribute money to this end.
The total height of the arrangement should not exceed 40 cm, except for the Orchid , which has a long but thin stem and does not hinder the view.
Vases with flowers that can withstand the heat and can be of all colors should be used.
Greenhouse flowers and natural flowers, artificially colored, can also be used.
Dehydrated flowers are not allowed. Wheat, being a seed, can be used. (Being a vase with planted flowers, there is no need to use wheat).
When placing the vessel in the pulpit, the servant will worship the Lord, for blessings received. We remember, "The placing of the flowers is a worship of the Lord."
It is well that the vessel should remain in the pulpit in all church meetings.
No more needs an arrangement during the week. The toilet can be replaced, as needed.
The sister who placed the vase is responsible for taking care of it for as long as it is being used, unless she has arranged with another sister to replace her in this role, for some reason that prevents it.
The sisters responsible for the decoration of the month will keep the vases wet and, if necessary, they can change them. It is a matter of good census when they realize the state of the flowers.
As for the side of the pulpit to be placed the vases, it is at the discretion of each church.
Flower Pots
Any color, any material, gold, silver, glass, crockery, ceramics without advertising marks, church name, such as ICM, Radio Maanaim, CIAS..., etc.
By guidance of the MCC Headquarters, there will be no consecration of the vases, vases, cachepot and towels used in the churches.
Use only those that belong to the church.
After placing the new vase with flowers on the pulpit, wash the previous vase or cachepot stored in the proper place.
The church should have a place to store the vessels, after they have been removed from the pulpit and replaced by another. Usually the sisters are putting it in the winter garden.
If the vessels are dying in the church, the sister may take him to be cared for at home.
Pulpit Table Runners:
We use treadmills or table runners. The measurement of this runner will be: 40 cm wide and, on the sides, it can fall, a maximum of 20 cm. E.g.: On a pulpit of 50 x 120 cm, it will be 40 cm wide by 160 cm long. Therefore, it will fall, on the sides, up to a maximum of 20 cm;
They can be colored, observing the issue of common sense. They may have colorful embroidery.
They cannot cover the front of the pulpit (guidance already given by the MCC Headquarters).
