Guidelines to the Ladies' Work

Visiting Groups

Visits will be made by groups, previously defined, of a maximum of 7 (seven) ladies. There will be a lady at the head of the group, who must have her name approved by the Pastor. She will be an experienced lady who is able to guide the others. The visits are aimed at women, the sick, children and young people.

  • It is good that the sisters in charge of the work are not at the head of the visiting groups, to make room for other ladies, so that they can also be used, unless the Church is very small and has no sisters available. Those who are in charge of the work may be part of the visiting groups as participants.

  • Only the lady who is in charge of the visiting group must be approved by the Pastor (each group of up to seven sisters has one in front).

  • The work of visits is supervised by the Coordinator.

  • Gifts received during visits should be given if this is wise. Gifts showing difficulties should be brought to the person in charge of the respective Assistance Group, so that he can be referred to the Pastor.

  • During visits, cry out for the blood of Jesus, sing praises, read a text from God's Word, and pray for the reason for the visit.

  • Do not bring cakes or flowers to the visits, so as not to set a precedent.
