Guidelines to the Ladies' Work
Visits and Assistance to Pregnant Women
A sister will be raised up to be in charge of this work. Two or three sisters, volunteers, will be raised up to pray on behalf of each pregnant woman.
During the pregnancy, two visits will be made to the sister who is pregnant to pray. If necessary, other visits will be made. After the birth of the baby, another visit will be made.
Only edifying gifts will be given to the pregnant sister. The other gifts will be taken to the Pastor, who will be in charge of discerning and delivering what is wise, or transmitting some greater need to the sister's husband, for intercession.
Sisters with no relatives close to them sometimes need one or two women to accompany them to the maternity ward for the birth of the baby.
