Smiths Falls Seminar

On September 12th, we had our first seminar in Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada, hosted by the Bethel Pentecostal Church. The seminar focused on the theme of the acts of the Holy Spirit in the church today.

Brethren from the Maranatha Christian Church in Ontario and Quebec, along with pastors and members from other denominations, shared in moments of fellowship. The classes, led by pastors from the Presbyteral Council of Brazil and North America, brought a great spiritual renewal.

Pastor Gilson Sousa presented teachings on the Spirit-filled Church and evangelism through spiritual gifts. The congregation rejoiced and expressed a desire to continue diligently seeking the Lord's presence.

“We are having a seminar for the first time at a church that is not one of ours, a Maranatha Christian Church, and it is important for us to be here today, Pastor Humberto, Pastor Gerson, and myself to bring the classes. The goal of this seminar is to share our experiences regarding the Work with the local churches and to speak about the work of the Holy Spirit in our times. It has been a great blessing; we know the Lord has heard the brethren's prayers, and we know the He will do a great work in this place.” Pastor Gilson

“We are overjoyed because the seminar was a blessing. The local pastor, Pastor Paul, was deeply moved on two very special occasions. One was when the children sang and prayed. At the end of the service, he shared a testimony with the pastors from Brazil and the local pastors from the United States and Canada who were gathered with him; that he felt something extraordinary, a profound experience and said he had been deeply touched by the Holy Spirit. We concluded the seminar by giving assistance to everyone present. The worship and the organization of the event really impressed everyone here, and we glorify the Lord for this opportunity to have traveled from Brazil and to be here with all the brethren .” Pastor Gerson

The congregation was deeply moved by the teachings shared during the seminar. The presence of the Holy Spirit was palpable, and many hearts were touched during the time of worship and the classes addressing the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the Church as a living body.

“The seminar was a spiritual gift that the Lord gave to a family fifteen years ago. The seed of prophecy was sown, and we serve an eternal God; today, we could see that prophecy being fulfilled, in this community, this church, and this city. We glorify God; the praise and the glory belong to the Lord. As it is registered in the Word, the door He opens, no one can shut.” Pastor Renato

“Pastor Paul testified that the seminar was one of the moments in his ministry when he felt the presence of the Holy Spirit, a time marked by the great blessing of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. We are very grateful, and the Lord has made many promises regarding the Work in Canada.” Pastor Cesario

Children, Intermediates, and Adolescents actively participated in the seminar, attending engaging, age-appropriate classes on the same theme. At the conclusion, they sang a hymn of praise, a moment marked by the presence of the Holy Spirit, and the entire congregation glorified God.

Glory to God for the growth of the Work of the Holy Spirit in Canada!
